2015 Cadillac Escalade Arrives in Qatar

Doha, Qatar – The 2015 Cadillac Escalade, an all-new evolution of a winning formula, has arrived in Qatar. With its bold design, powerful capability and luxurious accommodation for up to eight occupants, the fourth generation of Cadillac’s flagship SUV has already registered one of the fastest pre-order rates in the country.

“The Escalade represents the world-class standards that our customers have come to expect from Cadillac,” said Felix Weller, Regional Director, Sales and Marketing for Cadillac. “Cadillac understands what premium customers want – tailor-made products and services that cater to their lifestyles. As a result, the Escalade is one of the year’s most highly anticipated vehicle launches.”

Mohamed Helmy, Group General Manager at Mannai Auto, added: “Our customers recognize the importance of selecting a powerful vehicle with an extensive roster of revolutionary features. The all-new Escalade takes the luxury SUV to new heights. It is an all-new evolution of a winning formula.”

 Stronger performance

A more efficient 6.2L V-8 engine has strengthened the performance of the 2015 Escalade lineup. It generates 420 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque – which is nearly 5 percent more horsepower and 10 percent more torque than the previous generation. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with TapShift control.

The sophisticated chassis and suspension system have been engineered for a quieter, smoother ride. A fully boxed frame – composed of more than 75 percent high-strength steel – is the foundation for the solid ride quality. New shear-style body mounts help reduce vibration transmitted into the vehicle.

Magnetic Ride Control delivers more precise body motion control by “reading” the road every millisecond. It replaces conventional mechanical-valve shocks with electronically controlled shocks filled with a magneto-rheological fluid. Under the presence of a magnetic field, iron particles align to provide damping resistance almost instantly.

The product line consists of the standard Escalade model as well as the extended-length ESV edition, which offers a wheelbase that is 355 mm greater and is approximately 508 mm longer overall. This provides added space for third-row passengers and 60 percent more cargo space behind the third-row seat.

Designed for safety

Also new is the segment’s only front seat center-mounted air bag, which provides additional protection to the driver and front seat passenger in far-side impact crashes, where the affected occupant is on the opposite, non-struck side of the vehicle.

Another new feature in the Escalade is front and rear automatic braking. Short-range radar technology and ultrasonic sensors help the driver avoid front and rear low-speed collisions via a progression of alerts that extend to complete braking, if necessary.

A Driver Awareness package includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, and the patented Safety Alert Seat, which pulses the left, right or both seat cushion bolsters to alert the driver of a dangerous situation. The Driver Assist package meanwhile adds Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control, Front and Rear Automatic Braking, Automatic Collision Preparation and Automatic Safety Belt Tightening.

Advanced technology

CUE, Cadillac’s advanced system for connectivity and control, is standard on the new Escalade. It has voice recognition and touch controls common in the world’s most popular tablets and mobile devices. The system conforms to individual user preferences, from the “simple user” to the “super user.”

A standard reconfigurable high-resolution 12.3-inch digital driver information center display is paired with CUE. Key data is also available on a full-color head-up display. Besides vehicle systems information, the driver information center also shows information from the audio, Bluetooth phone and navigation systems. It can be easily adjusted via steering wheel controls.

Attention to detail

The new Escalade takes many signature Cadillac elements to the next level, including the shield-shaped grille. Special Galvano chrome trim has a more subtle bright finish than standard chrome and adds a level of refinement and sophistication to the Escalade.

This attention to detail can be found throughout the 2015 Escalade, down to the cut-and-sewn instrument panel end cap. Designers also paid close attention to the Escalade’s headlamps and tail lamps, giving them a bolder, more modern look that is still pure Cadillac.

Premium service

All Cadillac vehicles come standard with Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance. This program provides more peace of mind by covering certain required maintenance services during the first four years or 100,000 km of ownership. It includes complimentary service and maintenance, a resale value guarantee, roadside assistance and courtesy transportation. It is fully transferable.
