Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, will be demonstrating its expanding oil and gas services at ADIPEC from 10th to 13th November 2014, at stand 2310. This is following its investment in a new 10.8 million AED (£1.8 million) Technology Center in Abu Dhabi, supporting new exploration and existing operational activity.
The company is experiencing a growing demand for services in the Middle East to address critical oil and gas industry issues. Challenges arising from mature fields and unconventional reserves require new technology for reservoir and production optimisation to maximise recovery and minimise operational costs.
The Abu Dhabi Technology Center is currently fully equipped to provide reservoir characterisation services, including routine and special core analysis. In the near future, we will expand the capabilities to include services in pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) and fluid phase behaviour, flow assurance, corrosion and production chemistry. These services are designed to maximize the oil and gas recovery from the reservoir and minimize risks during production operations.
Hussain Al-Atrakchi, Regional Managing Director, Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, said: “ADIPEC provides the ideal platform to engage with oil and gas clients about how we can help support production and safeguard their operations. With bases in Dubai, Sharjah, Jebel Ali, Fujairah and the Gulf countries, Intertek delivers a full range of services across the entire oil and gas supply chain, from exploration and production solutions to oil and gas trade support and the wider range of infrastructure, asset integrity management and safety services. Our regional oil and gas laboratories, including our new Abu Dhabi Technology Center, engage local expertise with support from our global centres of excellence to deliver integrated solutions to the market. This will not only speed up turnaround times by reducing the need to send samples out-of-country, but it gives our clients the chance to visit the facilities and meet face-to-face with our experts.”
