IAID, considered as one of the biggest Performing Arts Academies in the country and the first public center in the Middle East for London College of Music (LCM), University of West London UK Examinations, celebrated another milestone with its recently concluded
Music Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the students who passed the LCM Summer 2014 Examinations.
Conducting the LCM Summer 2014 Exams is seasoned LCM Examiner Mr. Robert Langston who affirmed, “IAID’s standard was excellent and the facilities superb. I was very impressed by the school’s expanding musical programme.” A total of 170 students entered and successfully passed the LCM Summer 2014 Examinations held 3-11 June 2014 at IAID premises. This result has once again validated the 100% passing rate that the Academy has consistently shown for five consecutive years.
The Music Certificate Distribution Ceremony was held on 24th of October 2014 (Friday) at the Atrium of the Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCU Qatar), Education City. Students and guests were treated to an afternoon of achievement and
music, especially with the presence of the internationally renowned ensemble, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra as guest performers. The program started with the official launching of IAID’s newest music commercial, followed by an inspiring speech from IAID
Director Mr. Rajesh Jadhav. The event also witnessed IAID’s own talents through special performances from selected Music students. The event closed with IAID Center Head Marianne Indrinal’s empowering closing remarks on the power of dreams in line with IAID’s
Dare to Dream Campaign which basically encourages students to follow their passion and work hard to achieve their dream. She also awarded a plaque of recognition with IAID Artistic Director Ms. Dimple Rajesh to the Academy’s former Music student and now member of the prestigious Vienna Boy’s choir, Tarun Thomas Mammen. Tarun’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mammen received the award on their child’s behalf. Tarun is the one of the two selected students who has successfully passed Vienna Boy’s Choir meticulous
auditions held this year in Qatar.
LCM Examinations is an international examinations board offering graded and diploma qualifications in music, drama and communication. Examinations are held across a large network of exam centres worldwide including the IAID Center in Qatar. The next LCM Exams is tentatively scheduled on the 2nd/3rd week of January 2015 to cater to a much greater number of examinees not just from IAID but also to aspirants from Qatar and other countries in the Middle East.
