Indian expatriate killed in basement collapse

Doha 17th August 2013 : An Indian expatriate reportedly died in an accident at a construction site in Bin Mahmoud area on Friday after suffering severe head injuries as a pile of cement blocks he was working near an excavated area of an upcoming basement for a building suddenly fell.

Two workers “one Indian and the other a Nepali national “working at the site sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed for emergency medical care.

The name of the deceased is Madan Lal Balu. The deceased, a labourer, belonged to the west Indian state of Rajasthan. The accident occurred at 11:30 am, according to the sources.
