Campaign on twitter criticizes Qatar University’s discrimination against nationals

Doha 28th August 2013: Qatar University is in the throes of a controversy as a number of Qatari social media activists have recently launched a campaign on Twitter, an online Social networking service.

The campaign titled ‘What’s Happening at Qatar University’ blames the partiality by the university authority against the nationals, both students and faculty members.

Tweeters claim that aliens are being inspired and promoted.

Faculty members belonging to Qatari community are being expelled by the university authority and outsiders are being pampered.

They also criticized the approaches by the university that foreign educators are being appointed in administrative posts, so that they don’t have to teach.

The campaign is expected to get harsher in the coming days.
