Doha 16th December 2013: Traffic Department called on motorists not to place pictures, posters and flags on the entire car bodies, which would completely change the colour of the car during Qatar National Day celebration.
It has also warned motorists against sitting on top of a car and obstructing traffic flow by dancing or walking beside or in front of a vehicle.
Shading the windshield and rear windows of the car, which prevents the driver from viewing the road, is also prohibited.
Blocking traffic and parking in no parking zones will also consider as a traffic violation.
The department asks not to climb on the roofs of cars and the engine cover; or to get out of the car’s windows and sunroof, leading the passengers to the risk of falling down, over and above the car.
To place decorations that hide the car plates is not allowed during this year’s celebration.
The Department has issued notices asking shops not to sell posters, stickers and other National Day related accessories for decoration of vehicles before the designated day of celebrations.
