Emir meets with Saudi officials

The Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani met with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Saud al Faisal, Chief of General Intelligence Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz who arrived in Doha  on a short brotherly visit.

The Saudi officials conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud and Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud to the Emir. The meeting reviewed the ties between the two countries and ways to enhance them, in addition to discussing GCC-related work. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments.

The GCC foreign ministers are due to meet in Jeddah on Saturday, which has been described as having”special importance”. The meeting, announced this week, is expected to discuss”a number of issues related to the path of GCC joint action”.
