Doha, Qatar, 24 November 2014: DHL Express, the world’s leading logistics provider, has expanded its presence in the Qatari market through the opening of its new Service Point in Messaieed. Commenting on the opening of DHL’s new Service Point, Nael Attiyat, Country Manager for DHL Express Qatar explained, “We are proud to be adding yet another Point to our extensive number of locations across Qatar, especially so soon after inaugurating our facility in Barwa a little over a year ago. Our new Service Point in Messaieed stands testament to the company’s ongoing efforts to continue strengthening its local presence and offer clients the best level of service, efficiency and logistical support that define DHL’s operations.”
Messaieed is located approximately 50 kilometers from the outskirts of Doha and is home to Qatar’s largest industrial city and the country’s first deep-sea port. This small town with its significant seaport is devoted to key players in the manufacturing and industrial sectors and has become a vital component of Qatar’s booming economy and as a result, DHL’s growing operations.
“Messaieed is a key import and export zone; it offers direct access to and from the Arabian Gulf and is in close proximity to Saudi Arabia. DHL’s presence in this location caters to the increasing number of clients and is strategic to improving delivery time, furthering our reputation as the fastest express provider in Qatar. The core of our business is time, the closer we are to our clients, the faster we can serve them through speed and improved time-definite solutions,” continued Nael.
“The significance of Messaieed to DHL’s overall business growth should also not be underestimated; the dramatic development of this industrial city reflects Qatar’s booming economy and presents many lucrative business opportunities that DHL can definitely capitalize on,” further stated Nael.
