QNA, KUNA hold discussion on boosting cooperation among Gulf news agencies

Doha 12th September 2013: Gulf news agencies have made significant advance in developing their media role and Kuwait News Agency is keen on sharing experiences with them for enhancing integration among Gulf countries, said Saad Al-Ali, Deputy Director General for Editorial Affairs of Kuwait News Agency yesterday.

He was attending a meeting with Qatar News Agency’s (QNA) Director General Ahmed Saad Al-Buainain.

He had visited Qatari news agency’s departments, met with many chief employees there and listened to a brief description on agency’s operation.

The Gulf news agencies have got advantage from current technological developments, Al-Ali added. He also asked for further efforts in this area to meet the requirements of public and private sector media competitivity with the external world.

Al-Ali praised the efforts taken by QNA for cooperation and coordination among Gulf news agencies. He emphasized the desire to enhance the cooperation between QNA and KUNA in order to attain their goals.

Al-Buainain praised the Al-Ali’s visit and said it will boost the cooperation between two news agencies.
